 mceForXPV2-0.zip

  mceForVista&7V2-0.zip

Version 2.0.2 is now available for download.

No complicated setup, simply download, unzip, and run Setup.exe. Just make sure your are logged in as Administrator.

Note: The Windows XP package will not install on Vista. This is by design. Similarly, the Vista & Windows 7 package, will not install on Windows XP.

If you have installed MCE before, please un-install first, before installing new package.

This category of software, involves speech recognition, and therefore expects dedication and perseverance from the user. The assumption is that the target audience is those flight sim enthusiasts, keen to emulate the pros, and won't spare time or effort to achieve that aim.

Please note, that you must run the application wizard when prompted.

If running under Vista or Windows 7, you may want to disable UAC (User Account Control).

Should you run into issues after installation, don't try to run the application desperately, as it will simply exhaust the precious runs allowed, before you have a chance to try the software. Best thing to do in that case is e-mail support@multicrewxp.com

Hardware requirements:

It is difficult to put precise figures on the CPU & RAM requirements.

Our software is capable of running on a 500 MHZ processor and 128 MB of RAM, but because it will run alongside a resource hungry Flight Simulator, especially FSX, it is not suitable for systems with processors slower than 1 GHZ and fitted with less than 512 MB of RAM if using FSX, or 256 MB if using FS2004.

You will definitely need a Headset with noise cancelling microphone.

A decent sound card , even onboard one.

About 100 MB free space on hard drive

In any case, we give you the opportunity to try it out, so you will be in a better position to assess the package against your hardware configuration.

For the ultimate experience, we recommend using a dual core processor, as this application is heavily multi threaded, and will take advantage of any extra core.

Software requirements:

You will need the retail version of either Microsoft Flight Simulator X, or FS2004 a Century of flight.

The simulator version can be English, or any non-english distribution.

If running an English Version of Windows, the software will run on almost any flavor of Windows XP, 32 Bit or 64 Bit. By that we mean, Windows XP Home, Windows XP Professional 32 Bit, XP professional 64 Bit, etc...

If running a localized version of Windows XP, example Spanish, German, Swedish, Italian, etc... the software should run on either the Home or Professional editions of Windows.

For Windows Vista and Windows 7, non-English versions, the software will run on either the Ultimate or the Enterprise editions. The reason, is that you will need to install the English Language Pack on those systems, and currently Microsoft restricts that to the mentioned editions.

There is a workaround though. By using Vistalizator, you would be able to overcome the issue mentioned above.

Because it is not humanely possible to test this application on every Windows variant available( when you include Greek, Japanese, Arabic, Hebrew, Chinese, Korean, etc..) the software requirements as stated above are believed to be correct, but we may have omitted other platforms where this application will happily run. So, again, feel free to try it out.
